Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with 21 than old guard poker, in that the players wager against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up before the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course all of the different gamblers attain 5 cards each. After you have observed your hand and the casino’s first card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s value is equal to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantly to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the casino doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, including a figure in accordance with the original bet. If the house does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pony’s up cash even with your wager and fixed expectations on your call wager. - Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
