NL Hold’em Poker- Who is Howard Lederer?
Howard Lederer grew up in a family of 5 where he loved gambling on various card games when he was young. He found himself becoming very competitive in these particular card games while playing his dad. After finishing high school, Howard made a decision to put higher education on hold for a bit and moved to New York City to compete in some formidable chess. While participating in chess, he was brought in to a poker game going on in the back of the room. Howard’s 1st two years were rough as he played many hours and lost a majority of the time. He earned some additional cash by becoming an assistant for the poker enthusiasts. He theorized he could improve his game by analyzing his life outside of poker. He brought about an effort to acquire more rest and focus attention more on poker.
The actual advancement in his abilities began when he started playing at the Mayfair Club in New York. The Mayfair was a bridge and backgammon club where the the most favorable gamblers would often challenge one another. He was able to access a few of the foremost minds in chess. With their assistance, Howard Lederer would sharpen his strategic thinking techniques. He used these strategy concepts in the game of No-Limit holdem.
Howard also assisted his sibling Annie Duke master poker. Annie Duke was a superb student of the game as she would always be asking questions about the right way to make the proper choice. He told Annie Duke to head out to Sin City and play in the WSOP competition. Annie is one of the strongest female players the poker arena ever. He moved to Las Vegas in Nineteen Ninety Three and played cash games for the next 10 years. When the WPT gained popularity, he decided to play more tournaments.
