Newcomer Strategy for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the ancient Chinese tile game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in an awesome game for beginning level players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the house, unlike the majority of other poker games that players compete against other players. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not need to be concerned about other, more experienced individuals winning their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow edge is the generally leisurely game pace, beginners are able to take their time and strategize while not having to make frenzied choices.

It’s also easier to participate in for a very long time with only a tiny bit of cash since, to not win, each of your hands needs to be under each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the dealer gets seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the five card hand must be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be larger than the houses.
